Fascial Stretch Therapy

Fascial Stretch Therapy (FST) is a neuromyofascial manual therapy method which focuses on the connective tissue system rather than isolated muscle treatment. FST therapists assess active, passive, and resisted range of motion in functional positions and movements.

The benefits of Fascial Stretch Therapy (FST) include:

  • Pain Reduction– tightness in fascia can encourage unnatural movement patterns & postures. By addressing and releasing tight fascia and proper development of movement patterns, postures and muscle development we can address the root of the pain.

  • Improved Circulation– lingering tightness or tension anywhere in your body decreases circulation. By reducing tightness and tension, FST improves blood flow. This also benefits in the toxin release and recovery rate of your muscles following intense physical activity or athletics.

  • Rehabilitation– Fascial stretch therapy can help loosen or realign the fascia. This helps restore mobility, one of the key goals of physical therapy.

  • Increased Physical Activity– when your body moves with more ease, less restriction and greater efficiency you are more likely to participate in more physical activity and in return you increase your life long vitality.
